G13 Kids JIU-JITSU
Forming Champions for LIFE
Children have a tendency to lose interest in an activity unless it engages them fully. Therefore, our training is tailored to the playful way that children learn best. The school curriculum focuses on discipline, attention, awareness, respect, and self-defense. Our teaching methods integrate games that improve coordination in a playful way to enhance not only the student's jiu-jitsu but also his or her overall physical health. We help children reach their full potential in a Non-Bullying zone. Children from 3 years of age can already participate in this incredible Martial Art.
Bullying is one of the difficulties of childhood and adolescence, which involves almost 35% of students - whether practicing or suffering violence characterized by verbal or physical aggression.
Unfortunately bullying and aggressions take place, in most cases, without the knowledge of teachers and parents. The consequence for the person being bullied is a sense of fear and insecurity that disrupts schooling because it affects achievement and does not make the environment conducive to learning.
It is important to note that we do not teach how to punch or kick, as this often does more harm than good.
Through Jiu-Jitsu, we teach the use of immobilization to detain and neutralize the aggressor without violence.
We teach the little champions self-defense and the art of Jiu-Jitsu.
In the program, they will learn the fundamental principles of
Jiu-Jitsu: leverage, falls, and simulate blows in addition to control and immobilization of the aggressor. Non-violent self-defense techniques teach children to "counteract and negotiate" with bullies.
As a result, we consider verbal assertiveness techniques an indispensable part of the program.
